SOLDER TRAINING

If you think training employees and watching them leave is expensive, try not training them and watching them stay.

Is an investment in solder training considered a quality initiative for your company? Answer: Yes!  The price of employee training is insignificant when compared to the costs associated with lost production, lost revenue and reduced competitiveness.  Don't let your quality initiatives suffer from a lack of training.  When employees learn and apply proper soldering techniques, quality is enhanced.  Quality soldering reduces rework.   Reduced rework increases production efficiency and decreases production costs.   All of the above equates to customer satisfaction and increased profits. Is the end result worth a small, up-front investment?  YOU BET IT IS!

Several solder training programs are available.  If you don't see exactly what you need, we will customize one of our courses or develop a new program to your specifications.  Schedule your solder training, certification and re-certification programs with us now.

SURFACE MOUNT TECHNOLOGY SOLDERING
Electronic Manufacturing Support (EMS) Level III

Today's competitive electronics market demands low cost, high-quality products. The key to manufacturing high quality products and achieving customer loyalty is work force education and training. Quality workers provide quality work, which, in turn, reduces rework. Reduced rework increases production efficiency and decreases production costs.

This course demonstrates industry-approved techniques and common problems to avoid during SMT soldering and rework. The course stresses the techniques required to perform SMT soldering, recognize and rework solder defects. Upon completion the students will understand the short and long term consequences of a poorly repaired solder joint. It also provides the guidelines for rework decisions and basic SMT acceptance criteria.

Prerequisite
Six months solder experience or Verion Staffing’s Electronic Manufacturing Support (EMS) Level II certification.
